Look-A-Like's

I've missed you guys!  With all the sickness in the house the last two weeks, my blogging has seriously suffered and for the few of you that read my blogs, "nice to see you again!"

We are picture fanatics.  On our honeymoon, back in the days of film, we took 15 rolls in 10 days.  Now, my camera resides on the end table by "my spot" on the couch so that when a sweet moment arises, it's ready for the challenge.

People told us we would have no pictures of Ava, that she would get no attention....just like they told us if we built our house in the first year of marriage we would get divorced.  Just like they told us we would never stick to our rules about bedtime and tv addictions :).  Just like they told us marriage would become "blah" as time moved on.  You know what I say to that??

It's up to me to decide those things!  We choose to walk in our faith and be set apart, right?  Well, why can't we approach things people normally do a little differently?  We loved building our house that first year we were married.  We like that our kids go to bed and we have some time together.  We feel like our marriage gets better every year....so why can't we commit to capture those moments in sweet Ava's life just like we did when Grayson was our baby?

We've really tried to do just that.  We look at Grayson and Ava and marvel at how much they look alike, and sometimes how very different are.  I was looking through all of our pictures, and it's funny how we seem to have captured lots of similar moments of each of them....hope you enjoy!

My sweet mom snapped both of these pictures at each of the kids' births....
Meeting Grayson....

and Ava.

Dr. Garrard with us and Ava....
and us and Grayson.  Doesn't it look like the same day??
Love this face....
and this one.

I've been the terrible blogger!

Great pictures! and I agree with your post! I get comments like that all the time and it's frustrating!

Praying for you and your mom, BTW.
I hope she is doing better.
