New Project and Big Idea

I'm not sure what's happening to me, but I just might be becoming more creative.

I think it started with the whole tot school thing....still loving that, by the way, and back to posts on that this week.  That reminded me of how much I loved the idea of being crafty, so I tried other things.  You can check out Perfectly Imperfect for most of my projects and some are on this blog, as well.

A while back, I began making canvases with designer papers and I kind of fell in love with the vintage feel and the ability to customize it to the room I was creating it for.  You can see the first one here i made for Ava's room (I had not yet figured out scanning and fonts, so it's a little rough around the edges.) I made this Family Rules Canvas for my friend Jenny for Christmas.

I'm doing it again....here are the beginning stages.....

This will be going in the kids' playroom/schoolroom when we finish it upstairs.  This is a 16x16, and I'm thinking I'll hang it horizontally (shown above) and combine a poem and scripture in big, fun fonts on it.....

Work

work while you work,
play while you play;
this is the way
to be happy each day.
all that you do,
do with your might;
things done by halves
are never done right

"So whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
1 Corinthians 10:31

So here's the big idea.

I'm thinking of selling these.  Is that crazy??  One day I would love to open my own little place, and refurbish antiques in a modern way, a place to find one of a kind pieces, including those I create on my own, but that's for the future....also in line is publishing my first book. :)

For now, I would like to take orders.....and again, it's so much fun to do!!  I think that's the reasoning behind wanting to create more!  Designer papers are pretty much limitless....so I could customize it with any colors and text and any style (traditional, modern, vintage, etc)  I'm sure some would want to pick it all out, but I would also love to be given colors and let loose! ;)  As my sweet friends and family, what do you think??

I wish you could see them in person--I'm thinking after I reveal this one, I'll do a giveaway for the 16x16 size--the winner can give me colors, style, and what you want it to say--or you can let me go for it!

Wouldn't that be fun??

Yes, I think we'll try that soon.

Stay tuned....

So, I LOVE this! You are so creative! If you are serious and you start taking orders - I would love one for Will's room. Let me know! I think that these will become popular very fast!

Hey girl! Thank you for the fabulous compliment! I would definitely do one for Will. It'll help me practice and set up another template! I'll give you a call if you'd like or you can email me colors and styles you're interested in.
