I can't believe she is already 2 1/2 months old and my little boy just turned three! Time is flying even faster these days with Ava than they did with Gray. Everything just passes quicker with two. She has moved into our little routine well...she mostly sleeps until 5 or 6 in the morning, which is technically sleeping through the night. I feed her around 9 or 9:30 at night one more time...but she's usually in the bed before that, usually before Grayson. This has been SUCH a blessing, because this gives us some alone time with Gray and some down time after they're both in bed for the night. (This is no attempt at bragging; while I'm writing this, she's fussing pretty loudly to go to sleep!) She (usually) naps pretty well during the day, sometimes going down in her crib with no fussing at all. It's probably that ginormous rain forest mobile we've got hanging over her crib....she has no choice but to become hypnotized by it! She's still not a fan of tummy time, so I've got to make myself do that more to get her excited about wiggling around. The best part is listening to her coo like a little doll...she really is vocal. I've noticed she does it the most when Grayson is "playing" with her. He'll lay beside her on the play mat and talk about everything and nothing, and that's when she really gets going. It's pretty special to watch!

Girls ARE fun!!
I wanted to send out a little update on Ava for family since we haven't posted a new picture in a week! :) She is doing wonderfully...really, now I know how people have many children. Before, I didn't get that...I adored my little baby boy, but let me tell you, that kid could (and still can) cry! He was really fussy for the first 4 months or so, and then around 6 months he started having GI problems, so not such a content baby. We really started having some fun with him when he got about a year old. Ava is a different story. She had a fussy period from weeks 2 to 3, but after that it's been smooth sailing. I'm not saying she never cries (I don't think it's possible for someone like me to have children that don't have something to say), but it is seldom. She actually has been fussy the last two days on and off and last night when Matt got home, she was telling the news. He walked in, looked at me, and said, "Wow, do I need to take her?" I left her with a sitter yesterday to go workout and she was beginning the crying, and I told her that I was sorry, but I forgot how to even comfort her fussiness because she had been so good lately. Again I say, now I know how you have babies like this over and over!
This was her first trip to church; we visited my parents' congregation to let them show her off some. I know you can't see all the detail on this dress, but my sweet mom made it for her. She made it out of this beautiful lace, and kinds of other fabrics and details I'm not qualified to talk about...she did it with such care and it is extraordinary! I know we would never have been able to buy something like it for her...thanks Mom!!
Already a daddy's girl!
I know, can you believe it, I actually made a picture...I'm usually too busy taking them!
These pictures show her personality some...here is her sweet crooked grin that she shares almost all day when she's awake. She is easily entertained a loves a good verse of Old McDonald or Jesus Loves Me. She also likes it when her brother sings the "Itsy Spider Song" to her.
