A Princess Party and A Family Road Trip

We were able to get to Tennessee for our niece's 6th birthday party celebration this last weekend and we had such a great time! We stayed with Lillian and the Cotey family and got ready for all the birthday fun. Again it's always wonderful to see Matt's family and enjoy a celebration for one of the kids!
Here are a few moments from our trip:
Aunt Lara picked up some doughnuts for the kids after she took L to school on Friday...what a treat:

We weren't able to make Mary's party last month, so we brought her gifts as well

You know my fondness for Mary Ida and Grayson together...it is like having twins at this fun-filled age. As a matter of fact, I have Mary this week at my house, so I'm sure there will be posts on their fun to come!

Grayson got in skates for the first time and mostly did fine...until his daddy let go of him. He pretty much went splat!

Lillian thought it would be funny to put a purple wig on her dog, Bella.
We went to Chuck E Cheese's-a West family fav- for Lillian's birthday on Friday night...the kids had a ball and I'm sure were only exposed to several hundred viruses! :)

I love all of Grayson's serious faces playing these games...like he knew exactly what he was doing!

Here are just a few of the actual birthday party:
Jim's mom dressed as Mrs. Potts....she was SO adorable and such a good sport!!
I should have gotten a good closeup of Princess Lillian (dressed as Belle) and her royal subjects!
Somehow, I got elected for face painting duty...I tried to stick to hearts and crowns, but Matt had to get fancy on me...not sure how I was chosen for this creative task!
