For the last week, Ava has been doing a constant crunch. In her swing, car seat, even the bumbo...she just leans forward and holds her head up in the air, trying with all her might to sit up. I can't leave her propped on a pillow anymore because she'll just lean forward, sit up, and fall over or forward. And on Monday, she was laying on Grayson's big stuffed dog in his room and she just sat up. Only this time she stayed that way for a few minutes. Now, I guess it's not technically sitting up all the way because the dog is behind her back, but she is holding herself up, so good for her! I've always said that babies become even happier campers when they get their bodies moving. Here's a couple of her in action (and in blue jeans, which Matt and I both decided were entirely too grown up for her and we might never put them on again :)

Going Bald and Sitting Up...
This is what Ava would say she's up to these days...going bald and sitting up. I guess my children are doomed to early baldness; Grayson did the same thing. It will start coming back around 6 months. She seems to not be losing quite as much as Gray did, but there's plenty of time for it to fall out, so I'm not holding my breath.
