This week has been trying to say the least; Grayson has been a lot of pain and rest is pretty much unheard of in this house.
As hard as it's been, there have been moments when he's said the sweetest things...
A couple of days ago, his throat began the healing process, to put it mildly, and so his pain increased and that's when we started having trouble getting him to eat and drink. We, of course, threw out all diet restrictions this week and have offered him ice cream, cake, popsicles, etc. I finally got him to say yes to spaghetti one night, and after (yea!!) taking a couple of bites, he looked at me and said, "Mmm, this is the best food ever!" Like Matt said, I wanted to fix spaghetti every night!
My dad came over to visit the other night on one of Grayson's roughest days, and I could tell it cheered him up immensely. At one point he crawled up in dad's lap, gave him a big squeeze, and said, "Oh, I love you so much, Gary."
Last night, after reading Noah's Crew Came 2 by 2 (God Counts series-mommies, they're great books!), we were talking about why God flooded the earth, about Noah's character and why God saved him, and now how we are all saved through Jesus. We were talking about one day being able to be with Jesus and I prompted him to tell me where would get to see Jesus one day. His little eyes lit up (and so did my pride), and he said so sweetly, "We are going to go to Disney World to see Jesus! That'll be so really fun!" Close enough ;)

Too cute!
I sure hope he gets to feeling better soon. Can't imagine how tough it is!
